Artificial intelligence (AI) is a powerful tool with remarkable capabilities and widespread applications, including increasing the efficiency, accuracy, and fairness of hiring practices. While AI has the potential to mitigate bias that often comes with human decision making, it is not without risks. That is why discussing the ethical, responsible use of AI is so essential, ensuring tools are built with best practices in mind and in such a way as to help eliminate, rather than exacerbate group differences.
Topics include a discussion of the research literature and past findings, practical implications and suggested frameworks for ensuring the ethical development and implementation of AI-based selection tools, empirical research-based evidence, and real-world client data and case studies on the successful use of AI to help reduce bias and increase hiring diversity.
