Karen Mandlebaum, Senior Counsel, co-presents "AI Readiness: Is Your Organization Actually AI-Ready?" at the HL7 FHIR Strategy Forum.

AI ambitions are accelerating across healthcare. But many organizations are discovering a harder truth: AI does not fix fragmented data, unclear ownership, or weak governance — it exposes them.
This interactive session shifts from vision to reality.

In facilitated roundtable discussions, participants will examine:

  •  Where AI initiatives are stalling — and why
  • What prior authorization and quality work already revealed about data maturity
  • Which governance gaps become visible when intelligence is layered on top
  • How to evaluate true readiness beyond vendor roadmaps

Rather than debating models or tools, this dialogue focuses on organizational readiness. Participants will surface practical barriers, compare approaches, and identify the foundational moves required to support AI responsibly and sustainably. If the keynote defines the foundation, this session stress-tests it.
