Eric Neiman, Member of the Firm, presents "Health Law in the Upper Left Corner: Comparing Idaho, Oregon, and Washington" at a meeting of the Idaho State Bar Health Law Section.

This presentation surveys the health law landscapes of Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. While making up the Pacific Northwest region, the three states differ in population and regulatory infrastructure, with some common approaches and other areas that are markedly different.

Topics covered include market oversight, Medicaid programs, reproductive health law (abortion access, insurance mandates, and shield laws), child and adolescent issues, behavioral health, civil rights and antidiscrimination protections, medical malpractice update, and hospital-specific laws governing peer review privilege, workplace violence, and nurse staffing.
