Washington, DC (April 7, 2016)Epstein Becker Green is pleased to announce that Brian Zack was awarded the Robert D. Reif Fellowship in Legal Ethics and Professional Values at a reception at the Firm’s Washington, DC, office on April 6. Epstein Becker Green created the Robert D. Reif Fellowship in 2012 with the assistance of American University Washington College of Law. The mission of the Fellowship is to honor the memory of Epstein Becker Green’s longtime partner Bob Reif by furthering his commitment in the practice of law to maintaining the highest level of ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with clients, fellow attorneys, and the community.

After a review of essays submitted on topics involving legal ethics and professional values, three finalists were interviewed, and Mr. Zack, a third-year law student at American University Washington College of Law, was chosen by the Selection Committee to receive the Firm’s third Fellowship award. Mr. Zack’s paper is titled “Analyzing Legal Ethics for Municipal Attorneys in the Wake of Kelo v. City of New London.” Mr. Zack presented an overview of his paper at the reception.

The Firm also congratulates finalists Jennifer Goldstein, who submitted “Weeding Out Ethical Issues: the Budding Cannabis Industry and Your License to Practice Law,” and Gabriela Chambi, whose submission was titled “Be Verein Aware: The Verein Structure and Attorneys’ Loyalty to Their Clients,” for their exceptional entries.
