Epstein Becker Green is pleased to announce that Leah Brownlee Taylor has joined as a Member of the Firm in the Employment, Labor and Workforce Management (ELWM) practice in the Washington, DC office. Taylor brings over two decades experience as a litigator and trial attorney in governmental roles, most recently serving as Acting General Counsel at the Department of Justice (DOJ), United States Marshals Service and an award-winning member of the Senior Executive Service, DOJ.

She defends clients in employment and civil rights litigation in federal court, state court, and administrative tribunals.

"She has honed her strategic approach to risk management and commitment to client defense through years of high-level government service, making her a valuable addition to our practice."

Leah has successfully managed multimillion-dollar class action lawsuits, constitutional challenges, and complex employment disputes involving Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and whistleblower protection statutes. Over her career, Taylor has conducted hundreds of hearings and more than 35 jury and bench trials.

As Acting General Counsel for the USMS, Taylor resolved significant Title VII class action litigation and employment disputes while overseeing legal and policy compliance across employment, professional responsibility, ethics, and investigative matters. Her prior roles include Deputy General Counsel at the USMS, Senior Trial Attorney for the Constitutional and Specialized Tort Litigation Section of the DOJ's Civil Division, and Assistant Attorney General in the DC Office of the Attorney General's Civil Division.
