Martin L. Monaco, Jr. and John D. Barry, attorneys in the Health Care & Life Sciences practice, in the firm’s Newark office, were featured in the New Jersey Law Journal, in “EBG Adds New Attorney and Returning Attorney,” by Brianna Reisenwitz.

Following is an excerpt:

Epstein Becker Green welcomes Martin L. Monaco, Jr., Member of the Firm, and John D. Barry, Senior Counsel, to the firm’s health care and life sciences practice.

Monaco unites experience providing health care governance and regulatory compliance counsel with tax law applications. Health care providers, businesses, and nonprofit organizations turn to him for guidance on a broad spectrum of legal areas, including contract negotiation, tax issues, licensing for both business and individual providers nationwide, as well as the regulatory and business aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Monaco’s focus on health law stretches beyond his typical day-to-day practice, having served in several different leadership roles in the American Bar Association’s Health Law Section.

Barry returns to Epstein Becker Green with more than a decade of experience guiding health care providers, physician groups, and investors through complex corporate, transactional, and regulatory compliance matters. His knowledge of federal and state health care fraud and abuse laws, including the Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute, makes him an adviser to health care entities nationwide.

Monaco and Barry continue a series of recent hires in the Health Care and Life Sciences practice following the additions of Gary Baldwin and Karl Thallner earlier this year.
