DOL Extends Comment Period for Proposed New Rule Regarding Independent Contractor Status
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has extended by 15 days the comment period for its proposed rule on classifying independent contractors. Comments on the proposal were due by November 28, but now the DOL has extended the comment period to December 13.
D.C. Employers: Have You Complied with the Non-Compete Clarification Amendment Act?
Employers with employees in the District of Columbia had until October 31, 2022, to comply with a specific notice provision contained in the D.C. Non-Compete Clarification Amendment Act of 2022.
