Representative Experience
- Secured a civil resolution under the False Claims Act for a specialty medical practice and its physician owner, who were originally investigated criminally for violations of the health care fraud and the Anti-Kickback Statute. Other individuals connected to the same conduct pleaded guilty and faced significant prison sentences. In addition to no criminal charges being brought against the clients in reaching a civil resolution, Bailey and a team of Epstein Becker Green attorneys confirmed that the clients would not be subject to a Corporate Integrity Agreement or exclusion by HHS-OIG, the latter of which preserved the clients’ ability to practice medicine.
