Health care organizations, AI-curious companies, and startups increasingly need to move fast while keeping their products and operations defensible as federal and state oversight evolves. Bryan Hahm is an attorney and strategic advisor working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, regulatory compliance, and emerging technology. He advises clients on legal and operational infrastructure and counsels founders, executives, and in-house teams on AI governance, compliance, and liability.

A former genetics researcher with experience advising ventures in healthtech, fintech, and insurtech, Bryan brings STEM-trained logic, technical fluency, and regulatory perspective to projects operating at the edge of established frameworks.

Bryan serves on the advisory board of Plug and Play's NYC AI Nexus Program—the New York accelerator backed by the New York City Economic Development Corporation—that pairs major corporations with early-stage AI startups. The role gives him a first look at emerging AI companies and tools, pilot access to cohort startups before they reach the broader market, and direct exposure to applied-AI trend research.

Bryan also draws on substantial experience in health care fraud and abuse law, white-collar defense, and government investigations. He advises pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and health care companies on the False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark Law, and data privacy in AI-integrated clinical and commercial environments. When litigation cannot be avoided, he defends clients in federal and state trial and appellate courts.

Bryan's perspective is grounded in work outside the practice of law. He served as a genetics researcher at the Biomedicine Research Institute of Buenos Aires and completed internships within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, experience that lets him speak the language of the scientists and engineers his clients employ. Before joining Epstein Becker Green, he practiced as a business and commercial litigator at a regional law firm, handling white-collar defense and health care fraud matters, including FDA medical device investigations. He began his legal career clerking for the Honorable Stephanie Ann Mitterhoff of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, and gained additional regulatory experience at the Office of Counsel to the Inspector General at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
