Overview

Chloe Shumaker* uses her analytic background to help health care organizations navigate a broad range of health law matters.

Health care organizations rely on Chloe for assistance with health care fraud and abuse, reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and transactional matters. She also keeps clients current on key federal and state legislative and regulatory developments.

Her background spans government affairs and health care product management. During law school, Chloe served as Chief of Staff to a Maryland state legislator, researching legislative priorities, including increased funding for Maryland’s trauma care system and assisting with budget hearings for Maryland’s Health and Social Services subcommittee. Before law school, she worked at one of the nation’s largest payors, where she focused on health care innovation and gained experience with value-based care and data analytics. Chloe collaborated with key stakeholders to define priorities and processes for products spanning from reducing out-of-network costs for patients to addressing the costs of Type 2 Diabetes for employer-based health plans.
