Epstein Becker Green has announced that business attorney Kaci Hohmann has joined the firm as a Senior Counsel in the Health Care and Life Sciences practice.

Hohmann is an experienced business attorney who helps startups and established businesses navigate complex corporate matters through all stages of growth. Her practice encompasses formation and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and financing transactions across highly regulated sectors, including cannabis, psychedelics, health care, and life sciences. She routinely serves as outside general counsel, providing comprehensive corporate law services from tax planning and structuring to commercial contracts and general business matters.

“Kaci’s deep experience in complex corporate transactions in heavily regulated industries brings a particularly valuable perspective to our health care and life sciences clients facing regulatory hurdles and significant transactional matters,” said Eric Neiman, Member of the Firm and Managing Member of Epstein Becker Green’s Portland office.

A creative legal thinker committed to community impact, Hohmann was a member of the drafting team for Oregon Measure 109, which legalized the nation's first adult-use psilocybin service program. She previously served as chair of the Cannabis and Psychedelics Law Section of the Oregon State Bar and as an executive committee member of the Business Law Section.

“Portland is a strategic hub for our firm as we continue to expand and serve clients across the Pacific Northwest and California,” said Epstein Becker Green Managing Director Jim Flynn. “The depth of talent we have in this market, now strengthened with Kaci’s addition, underscores our commitment to providing exceptional legal services in the region.”

Hohmann joins a fast-growing Portland office that recently welcomed corporate transactional attorney Marco Materazzi last fall.
