Overview

Experienced business attorney Kaci Hohmann helps startups and established businesses navigate complex corporate matters through all stages of growth, from formation and governance to mergers, acquisitions, and financing transactions.

With clients from coast to coast across a broad range of industries—including highly regulated sectors, such as cannabis, psychedelics, health care, and life sciences—Kaci is a creative legal thinker and a valuable resource for clients facing regulatory hurdles and significant corporate transactions. She represents businesses in a wide range of transactional matters, including tax planning and structuring, formation, due diligence, commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and general business matters. Kaci routinely serves as outside general counsel to her clients, assisting them with the full spectrum of corporate law needs.

Kaci believes lawyers are well-positioned to use their skills to bring positive change to our communities and lends her time and professional experience as a pro bono attorney to several Oregon organizations. Committed to bettering her community, she was a member of the drafting team for Oregon Measure 109, which legalized the nation’s first adult-use psilocybin service program.

Among other activities, she previously served as chair of the Cannabis and Psychedelics Law Section of the Oregon State Bar and as an executive committee member of the Business Law Section of the Oregon State Bar. Kaci is also a frequent speaker at various professional and industry seminars.

Before joining Epstein Becker Green, Kaci served as a shareholder of a boutique business law firm, where she co-chaired the psychedelics practice group. Outside of work, Kaci enjoys reading, listening to music, dining with friends, and exploring Mother Nature’s playground with her family.
