New Jersey’s WARN Act to Become Strictest in Nation
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has signed into law a set of state WARN Act amendments that take effect on April 10, 2023. The amendments impose a mandatory severance pay scheme and eliminate the former standard of requiring one-third of the full-time workforce at the worksite to be impacted for the statute to be triggered.
