Overview

With over 25 years of trial experience, Daniel Dwyer is the litigation attorney businesses and individuals turn to when the stakes are high.

Dan concentrates his practice in business disputes and fiduciary litigation. His clients’ objectives are his priority. Trial skills gained from his early days as a criminal prosecutor and years of civil practice give Dan an edge both in settling cases and in winning them outright.

Dan serves as counsel to a diverse range of clients, including corporate directors and officers, closely held businesses or their principals, physicians and physicians’ groups, and private family trustees and beneficiaries. Whether in federal or state courts, arbitrations, or mediations, Dan’s clients trust him to skillfully navigate the complexities of their matters.

Dan’s practice spans industries including financial services, health care, life sciences, private equity, and technology. From breaches of contract and trade secret theft to intra-corporate, fiduciary, and real estate disputes, Dan has years of experience handling complicated legal challenges. He guides clients through every phase of litigation, including preliminary relief, pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, settlement negotiations, trials, and appeals.

Dan was a litigation partner at a prominent East Coast firm before joining Epstein Becker Green. As a younger lawyer, he honed his skills as an assistant district attorney in Plymouth County and a law clerk to the justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court. Before attending law school, he spent four years as a special agent with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in New York City.

Beyond the courtroom, Dan is deeply rooted in his community. A longtime resident of Hingham, Massachusetts, he served for six years on the town’s advisory committee and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the South Boston Neighborhood House—a place that holds special meaning for him, as he spent many happy days there as a child.
